BioWhere to start......
Basically, I love anything Rockabilly, vintage, Japanese, nerdy, and anything media and arts related or based on anime and video games. Expect this blog to be a musing of all of the above, with a commentary from yours truly and some random ramblings of my life in between.
Here's some more specifics below if you're curious =^_^=
* I’m an Australian, living about an hour from Sydney and half an hour from where I study at Wollongong University,
* I’m Caucasian, with strong Irish/Welsh/English/German descent.
* I have my own epic win of a geeky boyfriend, and he is awesome XD
* I’m a Christian, but a quite open minded and modern one. I tend to believe the bible is open to interpretation depending on the context and time period. And I dislike the institutions of the church, who have abused the power given to them to place rules and valued upon society, and just…don’t make religion real or personal.
* I’m a type one diabetic, and am used to being classed as “disabled” because of it, but it has not stopped me from doing anything I’ve wanted to.
* I’m very big on gender equality. I guess I’m quite feminist about this point, but no more feminist other than that, and equal rights for women.
* I'm an alternative pin up/rockabilly plus size model, and strongly support plus size girls in the industry.
* I am a classically trained string violist and violinist, jazz trained clarinetist, and modern/indie/alternative/jazz trained singer.
* I speak Japanese, as well as English, but not well, as I am learning.
* I happen to have Tolkien and Austen as my favourite authors, and gain inspiration from them for everyday life.
* I am a female gamer, and love oldies like the Elder Scroll Series, Baldur’s Gate 2, The Sims, Age of Empires, Thief…and will eventually try WoW.
* I’ve love to travel, and have been around Australia, Japan, Bali, Indonesia, Spain..and many more to come with relatives in the UK!
* I live life with the motivation to make others happy, which in turn makes me happy. I love and care for others easily, and love to write for those who need a voice to share their mind or underdog story.
* I absolutely love the Japanese geisha, and how much influence and power they had for women in society during the Meiji period.
* I love all the crazy Japanese fan stuff..which actually developed AFTER studying Japanese for 6 years.
And yeah...that's what makes up quirky me! XD
